How to Password Protect a Pendrive without any software!

Today in this article, I have written on How To Password protect a Pendrive!

Nowadays, people are carrying their useful data everywhere with the help of pendrive; This data may be related to their professional work which is not to be seen by anyone else; Some of the teenagers may be having their projects which they don't want to make others see; Sometimes people may be carrying info like Bank Account Details in their pendrives; So without wasting time let us see how to make a password protected pendrive!

Requirements:

1.Pendrive

2.PC/Laptop

Steps:

1.Connect your pendrive to the PC/Laptop.

2.Right Click on the pendrive and click on Turn On Bitlocker as shown below.

3.A pop-up will appear Check the box USE A PASSWORD TO LOCK/UNLOCK THE DRIVE.

4.Now enter the desired password in the first box and confirm it by entering in the second box.

5.Click on Next.

6.Now click on SAVE THE RECOVERY KEY TO FILE.

In case if you forget the password recovery key will help you to recover your password!

7.Click on Start Encryption.

8.It may take sometime depending to the storage of the pendrive and an image like this will appear

9.After the encryption is complete re-insert the pendrive, You will be prompt to enter a password and now you have locked your pendrive successfully!
